Emerald Lakes is a luxurious 4 1/2 star (Canada Select) special occassion destination in a dramatic post and beam estate home on two landscaped acres directly on the shore of Kootenay Lake.
Each of the three romantic rooms is uniquely decorated with fine Oriental antiques and art. The Emerald, Mandarin, and Lotus Rooms have stunning 2-person jacuzzi baths. We are known for our unforgetable 3-course breakfasts served on fine china, our warm hospitality and pampering service, and our wonderful forest/mountain/lake views. The gourmet breakfasts can be tailored to special dietary requests.
Guests can relax in the aromatic cedar suana, or float around the indoor pool in our dramatic two-storey tropical pool atrium.
The choice for those wishing to enjoy a romantic weekend is the Emerald Room with its dramatic jacuzzi tub featuring his and hers back massage jets. Those who love post and beam architecture might choose the Mandarin Room, an extremely large and spacious room with large seating area and a delightful waterfall tub fill. This room is also the choice for more than two people traveling together as it has a king bed and two single beds.
The patio, gazebo and dock offer the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. There is no need to bring a robe, hair dryer, coffee maker, clock, or CD player as these are supplied in all the rooms. For entertainment, select a video from our extensive collection or serenade your partner using our piano. A small refrigerator and microwave are available in the guest lounge. Tea and coffee are supplied both in the guest lounge and in guest bathrooms. Need a midafternoon snack.. raid the bottomless cookie jar in the lounge or, if it is summer, stroll outside and "graze" on the fruit in season....strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, etc.
At Emerald Lakes you can wind down from the city and hear birds sing in a serene setting. Nelson is just 15 mintues away with its numerous outdoor cafes and wonderful shops. The athletic can hike up to the glacier, go water skiing, or mountain bike on the many trails.
