About our Bed & Breakfast
Murraypond B&B is a five minute walk from the ferry landing. The Clematis Room has private french door entrance, king size bed with premium mattress and quality linens, twin size sofa bed, large ensuite bath with clawfoot tub and shower, blow dryer, TV with DVD and VCR, bar fridge, coffee maker, wireless internet and private patio with afternoon sun and shade from a maple tree. Available in the summer of 2008 is The Honeysuckle Room, an upstairs queen room with an en suite bath, wireless internet, ceiling fan and mountain views.
Breakfast can be taken in the dining room, vine covered veranda, south facing sundeck with mountain views, or on a tray in your room. A backyard pond with water lilies and gold fish surrounded by forest is viewed from the room. Smoking on patio only, no pets, children over 12. Two cats in residence are never allowed in B&B.
GOODS AND SERVICES: Balfour is a busy little resort area on the shores of Kootenay Lake at the junction of highway 31 which leads to Kaslo , and highway 3-A which takes the Kootenay Lake Ferry to Kootenay Bay and the east Kootenays. Balfour has 18 hole golf, two pubs, fast food and fine dining, sandy beaches with sparkling water, boat launches, camp grounds, gas station and mechanics, grocery store with liquor store and post office, video rentals, clothing store, and bakery with coffee shop. Close by are hot springs, Kokanee Glacier, hiking, spelunking caves, and many other attractions.
Rates: King room-$120 per night based on double occupancy. Extra person in same room- $20 Honeysuckle Room (when renovations are complete)-$110 All in Canadian dollars.
Two or occasional three night requirement on festival/holiday weekends. 50% deposit to hold required when reservation is made. Refund (minus $20 fee) if cancelled 14 days prior to reservation date.
