About our Bed & Breakfast

A gracious English country home sitting at the foot of soaring mountains on the eastern shore of beautiful Kootenay Lake, Wedgwood Manor is a bit of B.C. history.

This beautiful home was built in 1910 by a Royal Navy commander for his wife, the daughter of British china magnate Josiah Wedgwood. Beautifully restored, it perfectly complements its exquisite natural setting.

Six enticing guest rooms, each with private bath, are ideal retreats from daily life. Our splendid breakfasts (and picnic baskets) make getting up and out easier.

There are no telephones, radios or televisions - but we do have Wi-Fi, plenty of books and games, as well as hiking trails, badminton, croquet, and lovely spots to sit.

Crawford Bay offers a number of wonderful pursuits: the Kokanee Springs Golf Course, fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking and visiting the artisans downtown. There you can see demonstrations of weaving, pottery making, broom making, glass-blowing or blacksmithing - and buy what you saw being made!

Come and enjoy the Kootenays for a few days - each season has its unique beauty.
